Was C.T. Russell a false prophet?

No offense.Was C.T. Russell a false prophet?
Absolutely False. CT RUSSELL FALSE PROPHET

AS IS JOSEPH SMITH FALSE PROPHET

( WOW STARTED JW. in the 1900s WOW ..

Charles Taze Russell (February 16, 1852 – October 31, 1916), or Pastor Russell, was a prominent early 20th century Christian Restorationist minister from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA and founder of what is now known as the Bible Student movement,[1] from which Jehovah's Witnesses emerged.

JW Witnesses Believe Jesus is the ArchAngel Michael

Another False Prophet is Joseph Smith

JOHN.11.24.26

';Martha saith unto Jesus I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this?';—John 11:24-26

No, C.T. Russell was not any kind of prophet and never claimed to be. A propeht is one is foretells the future. He was a courageous man that saw the hyprocrisy in the religious of his day. He was willing to say that what most religious taught was not the same as what the Bible taught. Same today.

I agree with ladyki87 above, C.T. Russell was searching for the truth, fortelling the future is different than understanding what has been given by Daniel, Russell knew 1914 CE, was 2520 years after

Judah kings ended, Satan gets his short time down, Rev.12:3,4,6-11,12, Rev.17:6,10-14, all of 8th.

The asker was not questoning for the truth he was wanting a statement handed to him to suit his prejudice.

He was a right hearted man that saw that christendom was not teaching nor practicing what the Bible really taught, so eventually he did something about it.

He began taking up the long-neglected work of proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom which for centuries was abandoned by the churches. God’s Christian organization began to reappear. CT Russell had increased true understanding of the Bible not relying on teaching merely because he had to because of tradition. JWs used to celebrate Christmas, birthdays even the Cross was on the cover of the early publications. But over time these and many other false practices and icons were weeded out.

CT Russell did not have all the answers back then as we do today but he restarted the true way that Christianity should be taught and live their lives.

(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

We know from the centuries history of religious wars, political meddling and persecution and that true Christianity was not being pursued in the world.
(NO); C.T. Russell was (NOT) a false prophet !

C.T. Russell was INSTRUMENTAL in the Modern-Day Restoration of ';True'; Worship; as Evidenced by the Now MORE than 7,000,000+ Jehovah's Witnesses Worldwide !

No.

Although JW critics claim that Russell is a false prophet, Russell never claimed to be a prophet, or to be inspired of God.

';We have not the gift of prophecy.”

Zion’s Watch Tower, January 1883, page 425.

';It is not our intention to enter upon the role of prophet to any degree, but merely to give below what seems to us rather likely to be the trend of events—giving also the reasons for our expectations.';

';Views From the Watch Tower,'; Zion's Watch Tower and Herald of Christ's Presence, 1 March 1904
Okay seeing as how the JW's insist they read and study the Bible. Well, the Biblical standard for someone being a prophet is that what they prophecy COMES TRUE EVERY TIME.

C.T. Russell's ';predictions'; didn't come true- so he kept changing the words and conditions for Christ's return, etc.....

fALSE FALSE FALSEness.

Why they keep up with the Watchtower society since it's proven biblically false, I do not know.
In my opinion C.T.Russell applied ego to the understanding of spiritual things which always leads astray. The ego/mind cannot discern spiritual things according to Jesus and the Saints and Incarnations of God. If they know what they are talking about then C. T. Russell does not.
No.

Especially since he never claimed to be inspired of God.
Pretty darn close to the falsest one (other than perhaps Joseph Smith.)
There are no real prophets....
Well, given I've yet to hear of a genuine one...
yes
